You might just want to go with some plexiglass. It is cheap enough that you can buy more when the wipers (if you are using them) scratch it. Plexiglass was good enough for a 100S without side frames

I don't have the specs handy but have about 4000 miles on JE forged pistons and so far so good. A slight amount of smoke upon start up, but it is quickly gone and might not necessarily be the pistons
