I also agree. Anecdotal evidence comes from my "VW days". I had a oil temp. and oil press. gauge on all my beetles. When the oil would get up to about 210 or so, I knew it was time to change the oil.

My TR6 is doing this on long "sweepers". Next time the diff is out, I'm drilling the case for an AN fitting and I'll plumb to a "catch tank". For now, I just check the level from time-to time. Total

My TR6 does this too, although if I "sock the bearings tight" it's not as bad. But they only last a season or two at the "tighter spec". I would not run the bearings real tight for road racing... th
