- Hello All still thinking of putting my Z wheels on my '69 1600 but rear clearance will be a problem is there an easy way to give it some lift without replacing the rear suspension? has anybody tried

- You can get several inches extra clearance by swinging the spring shackles down so the spring is below the shackle, rather than between the shackle mount and the body. I don't think there will be any

- I had a rear leaf added to my 69 2000 a couple of years back and I've been very happy with the results. It firmed up the rear quite a bit, and leveled the car out without really raising it up notice

- Which Z wheels are you using? The 14x6 wheels should fit even if the rear is sagging all the way to the stops. This is based on a tire size of 195/60. It is very tight, but it should fit if the body

- It matters. Some five slot Z wheels stick too far out. Others don't. I would not raise the rear. Finding better wheels is the smart move here. Lou, Which Z wheels are you using? The 14x6 wheels shoul

- Hey all - For years I have been running a one inch aluminum spacer between the frame and rear spring mount on my '66. It leveled the Roadster out great. Reversing the shackle makes the rear sit too h
