I did some checking around about how big of a compressor you can use on 110v. It seems that it takes about 746 watts/HP. So, a 2HP compressor could be run on 110v if you have a 15 amp breaker on tha

I don't know if it wastes gas or not, but, I've always heard that it's a bad idea to break with the engine due to the excessive wear on the clutch (to down shift) and the transmission. Which is cheap
