The 1500 is a stroked 1300. The crank and block are diffeent but about everything else is the same. The 1150 is still the same basic block BUT with the old style cyl head with only two intake ports.

Having rebuilt a spit using dual SU's I feel the need to throw my $.02 worth into the current thread. Way back in the dim past, the Triumph SC block (the Spit engine) used a 5 port head just like the

I've always heard the little valves in the throttle plates refered to as piddle valves. My understanding is that they're goal in life is to prevent you from chopping the throttle too abruptly. ie: If
