As someone who years-ago played with a '77 AMC Hornet (unfortunately long before I found autocrossing), if the car came with no or very small sway bar(s), then a front bar will probably help alot. My

Will is right, if your car has THAT much body roll, any reduction will give you less understeer. Older VWs were the same way. And infact I'm hoping a big bar on the front of my Impreza WRX will hold
