- I used little Allen-head bolts with nyloc nuts behind. So far it's worked for a year. I found that the aftermarket checkstrap was thicker than the original and made a horrible grating sound as it op

- Just to maintain the Original look, I used the new rivets but tapped the ends for a 4-40 screw, used a magnetic screw tip in my finger tips and the green low strength loctite thread lock juice.....a

- Thanks to all. Not being a stickler to originality, expecially since this isn't the original color, for the 2nd time; I used a screw and a nylock nut. Engine bay is now Porche "trite" red; hopefully
