Alan:
I used little Allen-head bolts with nyloc nuts behind. So far it's worked
for a year. I found that the aftermarket checkstrap was thicker than the
original and made a horrible grating sound as it openned. I buffed the strap
to have rounder/thinner edges and that helped the sound out a bit.

Subject: spring guide for door check strap/tr6
I need to install a new spring guide for the door check strap.
Question is how do you install the rivets that hold the spring guide in
place?
thanks
