Why can't I get my front wheel bearings adjusted right? I tightened the castle nut (drivers side) until snug, then backed off a flat. It is too loose ( I think) There is an intermittent, slight high

It's possible that one of the wheel hub bearings is shot! As Dick Taylor mentioned sometime ago, be sure that the bearing races are a press fit in the hub when installing the new bearings. If either

There has been some discussion recently on another list that many if not all of the seals supplied with the wheel bearing kits have felt that is much too thick. So, you install your bearings to spec,

The wheel bearings and races are essentially new (less than 1000 miles). I didn't use a press to set the races, rather, I used the old races to peen the new ones into the hub. They seemed to seat fin
