- Thanks to all for providing the info on the sprocket and chainwheel. I mine look fine, but was concerned with the Bentley/Haynes admonition to change the entire timing set together, not just swap out

- Roger Williams in his book cites an example where the sprockets were reused with a new chain during a rebuild, as I recall (citing from memory is always risky). I just rebuilt me engine, and replace

- Rick--I do not throw good parts away. There's over 300,000 miles on the original sprockets, and on the second replacement (double) chain. There is virtually no slack, verified by watching the timing
