I had good luck with 3M interior spray adhesive, but I heard someone at a show say it's best to use nothing except the rivets and the rails. Easier to adjust and adjust and get it tight. I'd like to

I used 3M weather-strip adhesive. I find that contact cement is not terribly durable. It seems to degenerate into sticky goo over time, rather than fully curing. At least the crap that I used did. T
