- I believe that the magic number you are looking for is 21.2 MPH per 1000 rpm in fourth gear. Your numbers are close. You should be going 72 MPH at 3400 but 2 MPH variation in a speedo is no big deal,

- The only mounts are at the tranny mount, at the muffler inlet and the dual tailpipes at the rear of the chassis drivers side. There is a bracket that bolts up with the tranny mount and then encircles
