Honda 600 engine question

I always assumed that the engine in the Honda 600 was like a Honda bike 
motor, dual cams and 4 stroke.  I was told last night that it was a 2 stroke.

Does anyone out there have some details?  # cylinders, oil injection or 
mixer, HP, and other worthless information.  :-)
