If your braking is balanced the rotor temp should be the same front and rear.
Use the temperature sensitive paint and get it deep down in the vanes. An
infrared gun is not really close enough since the brakes cool really rapidly on
pit entry.
One way to fine tune the brakes is to place the more aggressive compound on the
end of the car that's running coolest. Then use the less agressive pad on the
hottest end of the car. The combinations can be endless.
