Formula Ford tires

Listers,
This is directed to formula Ford racers.......

What tires are available (read: approved) for formula Ford? (Or approved in
the club you race with)?

Monoposto regulations state Dunlop 135/545-13 for the front and 165/580-13 for
the rear. I have seen formula Fords racing in CSRG with Avon tires, and I
think I've seen some others but don't remember what brands or sizes.

SO, before I spend 'mega-bucks' on Dunlops, what else is available and
approved?

Second question: what exactly do the 'Monoposto Regulations' apply to?
Granted, it's to keep cheaters from building super powerful engines and keep
all the cars 'period correct' (i.e. keep us all the same) and I don't have any
problem with that. But how is it applied? Does "your" club have a formula Ford
tech inspector who checks for specific 'Monoposto requirements'? What would
constitute a 'legal' formula Ford under "your" club rules, and how would this
apply to a "Monoposto" application?

Thanks for your help in advance..........
