Hi all -
I talked to my restoration guy recently about the rear axle repair of my
Frazer Nash Mille Miglia and he said it would be a good idea to look for a
better rear brake drum. One of mine has old accident damage - slightly
bent, a crack, and a distorted center hole.
Were these unique to the Frazer Nash and/or are they "available"?
The ID info is: Dimensions: 11" inner diameter, 2" width. Center hole is 3
1/8", four stud holes on 4 5/16" circle.
Marking on back is: "AFD 287 BDM 1 VF" and below this, "AL-FIN Wellworthy"
I just got a period ad from a good friend in the UK:

I'll get this one repaired and it should not delay the work, but it seems
I'd be better off with a better one for the long run.
Thanks and Seasons Greetings - Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) and Hauoli
Makahiki Hou (Happy New
Year)!
Bob
