My tow vehicle, a 23 foot motorhome has a 454 chev engine. I recently had a small leak in the radiator repaired. In discussing operating temps with the repair guy, I mentioned that I had a good gauge installed and tried to keep the temp below 210 degrees by backing off when it got that high. HE said that modern engines run 225 as normal and that I shouldn't be so careful.... Whats the collective wisdom of this list on this subject.... Gene |
