Hi Clark.....nice story. Although my two daughters ( now 30 and
28...Yikes! ) never got involved in racing, much less driving a stick
shift...they always enjoyed the experience of attending motorsports'
events...concours, auto-xs, and vintage races when they were in their
formative years. Among some of their prized photographs they each have
displayed....are snaps of them sitting in the cockpit of Bruce Jennings'
Porsches or in Dad's Arnolt-Bristol at the races. Pretty impressive stuff
to visitors... that may only have photos of a ride taken at Disney's Magic
Kingdom!
I've always made an attempt in the pits to let children sit in my cars... so
parents could capture the same photo op that my girls had. That's the
beauty
of vintage racing....complete accessibility to the drivers and the real
stars....the cars!
I'm sure that Denise McCluggage wouldn't take exception of your first visit
with Veronica to Laguna Seca....
