PS to Lee Raskin. The two VIR races I was referring to were 7 and 12 laps
respectively. The 7 lapper (were the 12 A-B captured the first 11 places and
14th place) was shorter than most vintage races now. Looks to me like the A-B
was a pretty good "sprint" racing car too -- at least at a high speed circuit
like VIR.
Perhaps the A-B is well suited for VIR. Tom Mittler's A-B ran very well at
the VDCA event at VIR last year. Of course, all cars were period prepared at
that event.
