Made mine from air conditioning late model automotive drier tanks whose
capacity will vary from 1 to 1 1/2 quarts. Cut them open, remove the
desiccant (which can be easily cleaned & dried and used over and over in
your air compressor line drier) and either solder closed, solder in a
twist-lock lip, or simply held closed with screws. They're aluminum which
can be dressed up in a brushed, dull or polished chrome-like finish and have
pre-existing fittings to attach braided line to. A/C shops recycle them for
the aluminum and desiccant so they charge about $5 apiece for them; scrap &
junk yards will practically give them to you.
