My MGA still has the steel plate debris shield around the top of the bell
housing.
Interestingly, in the MGA, there is a 2" dia chassis tube threading under
the bell housing.
A pretty beefy component, but mine is almost flattened in several places,
almost certainly done in by an exploding flywheel at some point in its life.
Boy I'll bet that woke him up!
