While we are on the topic, I would like to put a head from a 1750 on a block
from a 2000, both GTV early 70s vintage. Is that possible, or impossible. My
other question is how does the oil get to the top of the head? Are the oil
passage ways the small holes on the sides of the block? Thanks, Marty , 71 GT

Yes, the trans. will fit but it's not a straightforward swap. There's a
spacer issue. There were two kinds of 1750 trans., also. Better to find a
whole drivetrain from a 1600 if that's the way you want to go. What series
is this being run in, VARAC?
Please don't call them Alphas, by the way. It hurts my ears.
