FWIW,
I use a '91 Ford F150 with the 4.9 liter and automatic. I tow an open
single axle trailer with a Formula Junior on it, and loads of stuff in
the 8 foot truck bed. I can tow all day long at 65-70 MPH. With the dual
tanks, I even towed up to Reno from San Jose without stopping. I think
the Reno pull is just a little steeper than the hills of Ohio. ;=)
