Just to finish off the starter motor thing... I finally found some time this weekend to work on the car (1958 VAY Special). I got the Pep Boys/Nipondenso starter bolted up - perfect fit! Charged the battery, spun up oiul pressure, and then it fired and ran on the first key turn. It's NEVER fired up as fast as with this starter. Even when the Lucas starter was brand new. Mike |
