Subject: 1975 914 Porsche Tires
This really isn't a vintage race question, but perhaps one of you can =
help.
I have a 75 Porsche 914, 2.0 liter with the factory alloy wheels. The =
manual lists the optional tire as a 165 x 15.
The car is a street toy with all the factory/dealer options but =
otherwise unmodified. What is the widest tire that will fit the =
original wheels/wheel wells without rubbing? I'm sure something bigger =
than 165s will fit but don't want to go narrower than the max, nor do I =
want to have interference problems.
