It is much safer and it is available (Lexan). 

If any group has a problem they are out of touch with reality.

If weight is an issue then add the difference in ballast near the offending
part.

I am starting to lose patience with those who insist  on racing in cars made
up of 50 year old parts in critical applications. (And the want all of us to
do the same). It is possible to utillize new parts and materials without
defacing original appearance, performance or characteristics of our vintage
cars. It only takes common sense and personal integrety to do it properly.

For those who go over the line and exploit the advantage, I can only say that
we  know who you are and we will give you whatever acculades you deserve when
you defeate us this way. These are shallow victories and the rest of us  just
do not recognize these achievements as anything of importance.

On the other hand, I do not wish to extract my friend's lifeless remains from
the wreckage of authentic to the 50 year old Castrol Crimsen brake fluid,
museum pieces.

Enough of that.
