Don,
I have a cousin who lives in Mountain View. He reports that the ground
shakes out there occasionally. Here in the more Northern reaches of the
Midwest, we occasionally have earth shaking events such as the Brian
Redmond International Challenge, but in the 20 years since I moved out
here from Metro NY, I have yet to experience a "ground" shaking event
here......only tornados (plus or minus 500 ft) and blizzards.I still
think they are easier to stand than earthquakes.. now if we could only
import SFO climate we'd have it real nice.
