I just returned from my first and last LA Grand Prix. In my humble opinion,
it (the race) was a disaster.

I drove rapidly around closely behind another rapidly driven car, behind
another rapidly drive car, etc. etc. Anyone who did otherwise went home with
body damage.

I applaude VARA's effort, but it was rather like watching an elephant do a
ballet. It wasn't that they did a good job- but it was incredible that they
were able to do it at all!

The pits were not to be believed. Instead of limiting the entrys to 200 cars,
VARA accepted over 400 cars which left a pit so small that there was not
enough room for a race car and a support vehicle. Anyone who showed up alone
had to park their race car, dump their tools on the ground and store their
truck in the remote DIRT lot.

Sorry VARA, I love you but this was a misfire that should not be repeated.
