CART is inviting any owner of an authentic vintage Indy Car to run the
high banks of the 2-mile oval California Speedway in Fontana the weekend
of Sept. 27-28 as part of the CART race weekend.

There would be no entry fee and CART will provide a garage space and
four sets of credentials for the weekend.

Owners/drivers may drive the cars themselves based on the judgement of
Leonard Arnold regarding current rqcing license, seat time and
experience on high bank tracks.

It's not necessary to provide a driver, though. The legends of CART
racing will be available and anxious to drive. The intent of the event
is purely in the vintage spirit. The aim is to have fun, show the cars
and enjoy the experience of a CART weekend of racing.

web site is in the works for complete details.

California Speedway is an 2 mile oval with 12 degree banking, located on
