Who knows? Maybe Thunderhill will be a better track in reverse. Will
the wind blow the other direction, though? ;=) The wind is highly
variable. You got lucky. Last year I had to do an oil change in that
sandstorm. Yecch. I realize TH is a lot cheaper than Sears. I saw the
cost breakdown. I'm not that opposed to some later cars and larger
grids. At Laguna with the SCCA, I was in a 49 car field! Although I
haven't run in the Enduro, I may in the future. My big problem has been
in having a car that will RUN that long. ;=( I'm certainly not a
grousing old timer, I only started in this game 3 years ago. I would
like to do more events, but you know how it goes. Besides, if I only
get to do 4 events a year, I have to pick the good ones.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween dinner party last year, and it sounds
like this year's was good too. Did Winkleman autograph any of his cars
while he was there? ;=)

P.S. Another thought: Maybe the people who stopped showing up are
either off prepping a newer car to stay competitive, or they are tired
of getting blown off the track by the newer, faster cars. I do like it
better when there's somebody going about the same speed I can dice with,
but the trouble is, with newer cars in the field, some of the older cars
are not showing up anymore. Now I'm beginning to wish I had a Formula
Ford stashed next to the Junior. ;=)
