Here's all the info on the upcoming race at IRP that includes a trip and track 
tour of the big oval...

Indianapolis Children's Museum Vintage Grand Prix
October 11, 12 and 13

Join the Vintage Sports Car Drivers of America (VSCDA) at the first annual 
Children's Museum Vintage Grand 
Prix at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP), in the heart of America's great racing 
traditions.
 
Racing and social highlights:

Friday: Mexican Fiesta, hosted by vintage racer Juan Gonzales of Mission Foods, 
Dallas, Texas
Entrants, families and crews are welcome to attend
Saturday: Walker Racing has opened their Indy Car facility for a tour and 
dinner buffet (tickets required, 
available on registration form, add'l tickets, if available, will be  at 
registration or VSCDA tent at the 
track)
Sunday: Tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  The Indiana State Police will 
escort the race cars and family 
cars (sorry, no trucks) to the famous track for touring.  VSCDA participants 
will leave IRP at 8:00 a.m.

Event Information

3-day race entry        $175 member, $200 nonmember
   Includes touring for car entered in event
(Please note: SCCA July Indy Grand Prix at IRP racers - $100 entry fee
for member and nonmember)

USRRC Series Race       $100
Late fee                $ 25 (after Oct. 5)
Saturday night dinner   $ 15
Children under 12       $   5
Touring         $50 each day
Saturday Enduro $ 5
Additional car          $100
Overcrew/guests $ 20

Member entry fees will apply to VSCDA, VARAC, USRRC, Monoposto Race Series,
VVR and HSRC.  Participant must show membership card at registration.
Please note:   VSCDA requires current medical information on file at the track.

8:00 a.m.               Mandatory drivers' meeting at VSCDA tent
8:30                    Practice sessions - 25 minutes
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch and touring - free race car rides for children
1:00                    Practice sessions - 20 minutes
5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mexican Fiesta at VSCDA tent

1:15                    Qualifying sessions - 20 minutes
4:30                    Robbie Buhl's "Racing for Kids" Enduro Race
                        60 minutes, including one 5-minute pit stop
7:00-10:00 p.m. Dinner buffet and tour of Walker Racing garage

The Children's Museum is an internationally-renowned facility dedicated to 
educating young people through 
innovative interactive displays. The Museum's current display, Calder's Art: A 
circus of Creativity features 
the works of Alexander Calder and includes many original works never seen in 
public.  In addition, the 
Haunted House will be open during the event, which will be an unforgettable 
experience for your kids.

SCCA's Indianapolis Region will be working the event.
