Toyota had a great problem when they released the second (the less
angular) MR2 in the UK (I dont know about elsewhere). Basically, a number
of them were written off with days of purchase because there new owners
were lifting off on motorway sliproads (freeway entrance/exits for those
in the US). There was even a feature about it on "Top Gear". They rapidly
cured the problem with a rear suspension redesign, I dont know if they
recalled the other cars. Perhaps talk to a Toyota specialist
