OK, first, let's not stray too far off topic - no reference to witch's spel=
ls.
I am getting a sharp metallic click or snap sound from left rear wheel area=
, sometimes pretty loud. I jacked up that corner and rotated the wheel foun=
d the sound occurs at about the same point every time, but not on every tur=
n. It is a sharp click, sometimes louder than others. I can't tell if it is=
the outer u-joint or the hub. It is NOT the diff mount, I looked and no cr=
acks and was boxed in by the welder who repaired it 25 years ago. It is NOT=
in the brake workings; I pulled the drum off and the sound is still presen=
t at the same point, but no movement on any brake component.
Hub or u-joint? I am thinking u-joint since that joint is never lubed becau=
se you can't get to the fitting.
Watcha think?
