Too late at this point, but for years a neat fix suggested has been to =
solder/weld a small nut to the inside of the cap so that screwing the =
bolt through that hole has much better grip.

How do i get the front wheel grease caps off? They are in there really =
well. Do i have to destroy them?

=20

I don't start out that way, but I usually end up that way. Allegedly =
you can put a screw in through the little hole and drive them off, but =
all that does for me is make the little hole into a big hole.=20

On my VWs, those caps would last a hundred years, but Triumphs =
are...different.

=20

I always keep new caps in stock now. =20
