OK, call me crazy, but watch this YouTube video on how to remove a pilot bus=

I have found pullers to be of little use as it is hard to get a grip on the b=
ack side of the bushing=E2=80=A6..but this method actually works.

When I tried to replace mine years ago on my 59 TR3A, I tried all the usual t=
ricks. I even bought a pilot bushing puller. Eventually I stuck my finger in=
to the bushing and found I could move it fore and aft about 1/8 inch as it w=
as loose in the bore but it hit the back side of the flywheel and would go n=
o further. Once I removed the flywheel it popped right out.
Afterwards, I measured the holes and the flywheel hole was definitely smalle=
r than the crankshaft hole.

Thanks, Dave. Interesting. There seems to be a difference of opinion on this=

If you are replacing the clutch disc and pressure plate the flywheel should a=
