thanks Gregyes, i did re-adjust the brakes.2 weekends ago i pulled the dru=
m off to check and see if anything was astray.no wet spotsshoe was held int=
act with the little clipy things.put the drum back on and adjust.
so if the hose has become a one way valve, why would it only lock up rear l=
eft, and even on just moderate braking.weakest link in the chain?
im at the point where im going to replace master cylinder, hose and slave c=
ylinder.just be done with it

I had a similar head scratcher issue on my old Austin Healey and strangely =
enough it went away when I did a thorough check and adjustment of the parki=
ng brake, I know it is the brake adjuster that should determine the positio=
n of the shoes when the parking brake is at rest, but nevertheless that is =
when my problem went away.

This happened to me once.=C2=A0 It turned out that I had a leaking brake cy=
linder and the friction material on the shoes had become saturated with bra=
ke fluid.=C2=A0 I was surprised to learn that this will cause the shoes to =
lock onto the drum.=C2=A0 Check your master cylinder reservoir to see if yo=
u are losing fluid, then check the brake cylinder on the side that=E2=80=99=
s locking, for signs of leakage.
