outh backed into my TR3 in a parking lot had State Farm. They sent a =E2=80=
=9Cspecialist=E2=80=9D to my house to appraise the damage and he said they =
would pay something like $3,700. I already had an estimate from a restorati=
on shop that was more than twice that ( don=E2=80=99t remember the exact nu=
mbers). I called Hagerty, they said to send them pictures of the damage and=
a copy of the estimate from the restoration shop.=C2=A0 They approved the =
repair the same day. =C2=A0I later received a check from State Farm for the=
$3700, I called Hagerty guy back and asked him what I should do with it an=
d he said send it back. That=E2=80=99s the last I heard of it so I don=E2=
=80=99t know if hagerty got their money back.

I had my car with State Farm at a very good rate several years ago (along w=
ith my other cars and homeowner's insurance), but we switched agents and th=
e good rate went away.

I shopped around and J.C. Taylor was more generous with their driving polic=
y, including pleasure drives with the usual club functions, parades, that t=
he other classic car insurance companies cover.

No mileage limits either, though I am pretty sure they ask if you have anot=
her car you rely on for daily driving, which is pretty standard I think.
