I don't know about the TR3 head but I had my TR6 head shaved but ran with s=
tock valve seats.=C2=A0 Very soon there after I found I was suffering from =
valve seat recession in all the exhaust valves.=C2=A0 Intakes were not prob=
lem.=C2=A0 Too late as it turned out and one cylinder in particular was not=
getting compression anymore.=C2=A0 I figured that some day I will address =
this but didn't feel like pulling the head at this time.
Then the head gasket blew.
$600 later I have a reworked head with hardened seats.=C2=A0 What a differe=
nce having all six cylinders work makes.
Yet another anecdote.
