Aluminum heads are commonplace these days; any quality antifreeze will have=
the additives to protect aluminum. =20
But be sure to follow the recommended change intervals, as the additives do=
wear out with time, even if the car is never driven.
There is some debate over whether =E2=80=9CDexcool=E2=80=9D type antifreeze=
is good for old engines; I don=E2=80=99t know how much is true and how muc=
h is urban legend. But I don=E2=80=99t use it myself.

Subject: [TR] Alumimium Heads
Just watched an interesting video on the rise and fall of the Triumph Stag.=
=C2=A0 One of the comments was the need for special coolant due to their al=
uminium heads.=C2=A0=C2=A0 Never gave it much thought but my TR3 came to me=
with alumimium heads and I have always just used the regular antifreeze 50=
/50 from my local FLAPS.=C2=A0 Should I be doing something different, getti=
ng ready to winterize the fleet.
