Why not just take it out manually from the inside? Ive done this many times on
GT6s. Put a scissors jack under the back of the engine just fwd of the bell
housing, remove all of the bell housing bolts, and driveshaft. Take out the
seats and the center console, slide it back until the input shaft clears the
engine and just man handle it out. Not that difficult. On the GT6 anyway the
gearbox sits on top of the frame rails where they come together under the
gearbox. TR6 gearbox should be a bit heavier and the bell housing is
completely different as are the frame rails. But before you go to all the
trouble to fabricate a lift, try it by hand. Not that difficult on the GT6.
Done it too many times to admit...Never did try it on my TR6, pulled the body
off instead, then the engine and gearbox :)
