 Good idea.  And make sure that there is nothing blocking the wheels preventing 
the jack from rolling where it needs to.  That can be tricky at my place since 
the floor has some serious cracks.

all possible, I try to jack the car from in front or
in back.  That way, the
the jack is moving perpendicular to a line
betwen the stands, which should be
more stable.
