i signed up to AOL back when Al first invented the Internet.
i now have
hundreds of friends around the world and sites that i have subscribed to. its
realy a long and difficult process to tell them all that i now have this yahoo
address. i can change my address book but not theirs.
so i am stuck with the
old sod and have to keep checking it. telling my friends i have had a new
address for years, and then reminding them each time they mail me at .AOL
it
aint that easy to drop.

There are lots of
good email programs, many of them free, that will work
with any
standards-based email service. You don't have to not use the
account just
because your ISP doesn't provide a client that you like.
I don't even know
what my ISP offers (maybe only web mail?). I use MS
Outlook mostly because
that is what I have to use at work, but there are
lots of other choices. Here
