IMO Yes, you should fabricate a ground harness. The factory did rely on the mounting screws and they are far from secure, especially since the screw only goes into a clip nut (rather than into the metal of the body). FWIW, my ground harness follows the main harness around the trunk, to a ring terminal under a gas tank mounting bolt. I also have a ground wire up to the fuel sender. -- Randall |
