I prefer the all-metal style locking nut for that spot -- plus blue
loctite. Also, on TR3s there is a clearance problem getting a wrench on the
bolt head so I use a allen-head cap screw there. It seems to be a tough
bolt to keep tight.
Hopefully a TR6 owner can advise you on size.
