Mine has a power off energy saver too - shuts down after about 2 minutes.  I 
have to turn it off then back on to get it going again.  If I'm waiting for 
a particular shot, I turn it off and on every so often so it is ready when 
the shot is available.  I believe I can change the settings somewhere but it 
hasn't caused too much of a problem
