Not a hill of beans difference between the two methods.  Both result in 
fluid being pushed out the bleeder, air stays on top of the fluid 
regardless, so you bleed the brakes either way.  Since I often work alone, I 
use the jar and tube method.  It also lets me look at the fluid easily 
(clear tubing).

Next, the order in which you bleed the wheels.  Which also really doesn't 
matter.
