Bill, perhaps I should point out that the common general-purpose spring
compressors do not work well on TR2-6 front ends. There are purpose-made
compressors available that work much better (and safer !) IMO; or you can
fabricate your own without too much trouble. However the purpose-made
compressors require that you first remove the bump stop and shock absorber
... so for just changing upper bushings, it might be better to just
temporarily add some weight to the frame (if necessary).
Ask a buddy to sit on it ...
