Sure was for me. The contacts are supposed to be sealed inside the housing,
so no way to clean or resurface them without cutting into the unit. And
since it has to withstand full brake pressure, I wasn't willing to cut into
one and use it afterwards.
After having 3 of them fail in a single year, I converted to a mechanical
switch mounted to the MC bracket, ala TR4.
