In addition to Randall's comments, look at the hose that connects the two
hardlines. If this hose starts to deteriorate it will restrict the movement of
fluid and upon release the clutch slave will slowly return. While it is
returning the pedal may go all floppy. Another symptom is slow clutch
engagement.
But if slow clutch engagement is not an issue this may be a red herring. But
worth a quick look.
