I'll second that.

I rented a Town Car with 500 km on the clock and drove it for a week when on a
business/personal trip. My wife had her head hanging out the window for the
first 2000km because of the smell. I don't think they use that wretched
perfume in European cars. I've always read that it is supposed to smell like
leather and wood, but it's just a bunch of drying glue and plastomisers
according to my nose.

Yes, I do know that and I certainly wasn't blaming Cosmo.  I just
felt it needed to be said.  Maybe someone in the car business was
listening.  (I can only hope.)  That the "new car" smell is so
wonderful and beloved is an urban-myth sort of idea.  Whoever
invented the spray can of "new car smell" stuff should be forced to
inhale it.  Then again, maybe its existence is an urban myth too.

Nobody asked me.  Doesn't stop me from stating my opinion though.
